How it works

What those ten minutes actually look like.

One story, start to finish — the same one you can open yourself in a moment. No sign-up needed to read it.

  1. Tell us who's listening

An age band and a language. That's the whole setup — it decides which stories come up first and which language they open in. You can change either at any time, and one account can hold more than one child.

  2. Open a real picture book

    A page from My Friends

    My Friends

Nine illustrated pages — hand-drawn art on every one, not a wall of text with a picture at the top. Stories are free to read, with no ads and no bright white screen, on a dark background made for a room at bedtime.

  3. Read it, or let it read to you

Every story has a softly narrated voice track, and the words highlight as they're spoken. Useful on the nights you've run out of voice — and it's how a child who can't read yet follows along on their own.

  4. Switch language mid-story. Tap any word.

The same story, the same pictures, in any of eight languages — you can change it halfway through without losing your place. While reading in a language that isn't English, tapping any word shows what it means, so a child gets to keep going instead of stopping to ask.

    ✨ Moral of the storyबहुत सारे अलग-अलग दोस्त होना बहुत अच्छा है, और परिवार के लोग हमारे सबसे अच्छे दोस्त हो सकते हैं।

👆 Tap दोस्त — in the real story, every word works.

  5. Finish it together

Every story ends the same way: what it was about, the words it taught, and one question to talk about before the light goes off.

    ✨ Moral of the story

It's wonderful to have many different friends, and family can be our very best friends.
