Welcome to StoryMom. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at mystorymom.com and its features (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be an adult (the age of majority where you live) to create an account. StoryMom is designed for parents and guardians to use with the children in their care. By creating an account, you confirm that you are an adult and that any child profile you set up is for a child you are responsible for.
We sign you in using a one-time link sent to your email — there is no password. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone with it can access your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly at hello@mystorymom.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
Many stories on StoryMom come from third-party sources such as StoryWeaver (Pratham Books) and are made available under open licenses such as Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0). The original authors, illustrators, and publishers are credited on each story, and their rights remain with them. Some content — such as translations, narration, vocabulary, and quizzes — is generated with the help of AI and may contain occasional inaccuracies.
You agree not to:
“Spark Points,” badges, and similar features exist only to make reading fun. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may be changed or reset as we improve the Service.
The StoryMom name, logo, website design, and software are owned by us. Third-party story content is owned by its respective rights holders and used under the applicable licenses. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any content to you.
We are actively building StoryMom and may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at our discretion.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content (including AI-generated translations and narration) will be accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryMom will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
