Helping Bird

One morning Bouavanh and her dad led their buffaloes to the rice paddock.

Bouavanh hears a bird chirping. She sees a small bird that has fallen from its nest.

The small bird is weak. She brings its home with her.

She feeds the bird rice and water.

Many days go by and the bird becomes stronger.

Bouavanh returns the bird to its mom.

One morning, Bouavanh hears a bird chirping near her window.

Later that day, Bouavanh and her dad led the buffalo home and the bird came to sit on the buffalo's back.

Bouavanh is happy to see the bird strong and able to fly around.
