Domu the potato, Lamu the radish, and the woodpecker gather at the canteen. They discuss the rumor that is going around the town. People say there is a powerful damphu gang that can control the rain.

"We are in real trouble here," says Domu. "People believe we can control the weather. " Domu, Lamu, and the woodpecker argue with their friend the shopkeeper. "But you chased those dark clouds away," the shopkeeper replies. "Surely this is a piece of cake."

Domu, Lamu, and the woodpecker appear in the newspaper. They are all over the radio.

They are on television, too.

One night, the cat peeks into Domu, Lamu, and the woodpecker's room. They are not there. "Where have they gone?" the cat wonders.

A crowd forms. It reaches the outskirts of Sukute. There’s a crowd forming at Zero Kilo in the village of Kavre, too.

Potatoes from different villages are here. All the radishes, too. Even the birds. But Domu and Lamu are nowhere to be seen.

Dark clouds loom over Bandeu, a forest above the River Dolalghat.

Domu appears. He plays the damphu. "Taak dhui taak dhyaap."

Lamu jumps into the water right where the Bhotekoshi and Indrawati Rivers meet.

Lamu dances to the damphu beat.

It starts to rain lightly. "Wow!" the radishes scream. "Wow," the potatoes exclaim. "Dance, Lamu, Dance," the woodpeckers join in the crowd's chant.

The woodpeckers gather the dark clouds. It starts to rain. Rainbows form. Hundreds of people gather on steamboats on the Dolalghat River to watch and picnic.

Domu and Lamu dance. Domu and Lamu's previous owners, Lama and Bombo, show up.

"That is our Domu," the Lama screams. "Our Lamu," the Bombo shouts. "We must get them."

Lama and Bombo lunge through the crowd. The police stop them and the rain dance continues.
