Little squirrel had a big pile of winter nuts. "Time to bury you!" he chittered happily.

He ran to the big oak tree. "Perfect!" he thought. But... SCRATCH, SCRATCH! Another squirrel was already burying nuts there.

He scurried to the old, bumpy log. "This spot looks good!" But... TAP, TAP! Another busy squirrel was hiding nuts inside the log.

He bounced to the tall green bushes. "Maybe here?" But... DIG, DIG! Another squirrel was digging deep into the ground.

Little squirrel sighed. All the usual spots were taken! He sat down sadly near the oldest tree. Then, he saw it: a tiny, secret crack in a gnarled root, hidden by soft green moss.

"Aha!" he chittered. This spot was just right for his special nuts. He carefully tucked them in and covered them with moss.
Sometimes, finding your own unique way is the best way to solve a problem.
