The little bird watched its siblings soar, but the blustery wind made its tiny feathers tremble. It gripped the nest's edge, too scared to even peek over.

Mama Bird landed beside the nest, nudging the little bird gently with her beak towards the open air. "It's time, little one," she chirped, then flew off to catch a plump worm.

Suddenly, a plump, juicy green worm, dropped by Mama Bird, wiggled right at the very edge of the nest, just out of reach. The little bird's tummy rumbled.

A sudden, strong gust of wind snatched the wiggling worm right off the leaf! The little bird, driven by hunger, lunged for it without thinking.

Its tiny wings instinctively flapped, catching the wind's current. The little bird tumbled and soared, chasing after its prize, a surprising laugh escaping its beak.

With a final happy chirp and a soft plop, the little bird landed on a wide branch, the delicious worm firmly in its beak. Its first flight was a success!
Sometimes, a sudden challenge can help you discover a strength you didn't know you had.
What finally made the little bird leave the nest?
