A tiny duckling spotted a patch of juicy green reeds far across the pond. Yum!

It paddled bravely into the water, but a strong current gently pushed it back to shore. Splish-splash!

The duckling tried again, swimming faster this time, but the current was too strong. It wobbled and spun!

A big, flat lily pad floated by, twirling slowly. "Aha!" quacked the duckling.

The duckling climbed onto the lily pad and pushed with its strong webbed feet. The current carried the lily pad, with the duckling on top, right towards the reeds!

Soon, the tiny duckling was happily munching on the juicy green reeds. Quack, quack, yum!
Sometimes, a problem needs a clever solution, not just more effort.
What did the duckling use to help it cross the pond?
