The Carrot Caper
A little rabbit loved to watch the farmer's garden, especially the biggest, ripest carrot. But a tall scarecrow stood guard, looking right at the carrot patch.
The rabbit gathered its courage and hopped closer, ready to grab the prize. Suddenly, a gust of wind made the scarecrow's arm wave, and its hat wobbled!
The next morning, the rabbit tried a new plan, digging under the garden fence. Just as it started to dig, a loud BARK made it jump!
From a safe distance, the rabbit watched the scarecrow carefully. It saw a tiny field mouse scamper up its leg and a chirping bird land on its hat.
"It's just straw!" the rabbit whispered, realizing the scarecrow didn't move at all. It waited until Pip the dog was fast asleep, then hopped quietly into the garden.
The rabbit reached the biggest, ripest carrot and gently pulled it out of the ground. It munched happily, enjoying its sweet, crunchy reward.
✨ Moral of the story
Sometimes, the things we fear are not as scary as they seem, and a little observation can help us find a solution.
