Buster the beaver loved to build. He wanted the biggest dam for his family! Chomp, chomp, chomp went his teeth.

A big, smooth log zoomed past. 'Splash!' Buster reached with his paw. Too fast! It wiggled away.

Another perfect log! Buster swam and paddled, 'Swish, swish, swish!' But the river pulled it on. It bumped a big rock and spun around.

Buster watched the log float past a low, sturdy branch. *Hmmmm*, thought Buster. He had an idea! He pushed a smaller stick. Splosh!

The next big log came by. Whoosh! It hit the stick and stopped! Buster pulled it in. His dam grew bigger and stronger, chomp, chomp, chomp!
Sometimes, working smarter, not just harder, helps you achieve your goal.
